Mandatory course for Geology students at UFRN.
Fieldwork consisting of basic geological mapping involving the survey of columnar sections, description of outcrops and stratigraphic correlations. The work also involves the description and obtaining of structural parameters. In addition to outcrop data, the cartography uses aerial photographs, satellite images and/or topographic maps of a sedimentary area, complemented by laboratory studies and the preparation of a technical report. The duration of the field phase should be compatible with the area and the mapping scale, taking into account travel and access.
Mandatory course for Geology students at UFRN.
